Engineering Central was established in 1996 as an Engineering job board - i.e. a place for engineers to post their resumes and for employers and recruiters to post ads and search resumes. In the beginning, it was not our intention for Engineering Central to be a US job board, but since the vast majority of the job ads and resumes we received came from the US, it became a de facto US job board.

Engineering Central is now the # 1 job board exclusively for engineers. However, since it is a US job board, it is not serving the needs of many engineers, employers and recruiters who are in other parts of the world or want to work in other parts of the world. That is the reason for WorldEngineeringJobs.com. This job board will not accept job postings for jobs in the US. It will be for the rest of the world.

Right now, the job board is in development. We hope to launch it within the next few months. Once it is operational, we hope to feature jobs and resumes from the following geographical areas:

• North America (no jobs in the US)
• South America
• Europe
• Asia
• Middle East
• Africa
• Australia/New Zealand

As with Engineering Central, we will be featuring several Engineering categories - chemical, civil, electrical, industrial, manufacturing and mechanical engineering.

All job posting and resume searches will be free for some time until we have built up enough traffic to justify charging employers for our services. We have no plans to charge job seekers.
